About

Drummism was started as a YouTube experiment to see if there is interest in play along educational videos. I taught all of these exercises and more to students during my drum teaching career. They are foundational to understanding and performing different rhythms on the drumset, and the permutations are common to all styles of music.

Technologies

This website is built on Docusaurus. It's pretty great for spinning up documentation websites.

The charts are created with Logic Pro.

Audio is not live - it's actually just the midi track used to create the charts.

The videos were all filmed on an iPhone and edited with DaVinci Resolve. Screen captures of chart segments within the videos was done with QuickTime.

I do not have affiliations with any manufacturers of any equipment or technology.
